How is the Jews' flight in the tribulation similar to the Exodus?

The Jews’ tribulation flight is likened to the Exodus because a great number of Jews will suddenly and providentially move out to a distant place, much as Israel did in the Exodus from Egypt. The scenario is almost identical, though the exact number of Jews involved is not certain.

Les teaches that this flight should be understood by flashing back to the Exodus out of Egypt, because so much of it is almost identical. Whether the numbers will match, he is not sure, but the scenario is the same: a great number of Jews will suddenly, providentially move out to a distant place. This occurs in the middle of the tribulation, during the final three and a half years, when there will be great tribulation such as has not been since the beginning of the world. Les explains that the days being shortened does not mean the period becomes only three years; it means the tribulation must end right on schedule. If it went an extra month, no soul would survive, yet there will be survivors all around the world.
