What does the Antichrist do to the temple and temple worship?

At the midpoint of the seven-year covenant, the Antichrist causes sacrifice and oblation to stop. He then moves in and makes the temple and temple worship desolate until the end, when everything is fulfilled, after three and a half years of Israel worshiping under his supposed protection.

Les explains that Daniel 9:27 is the triggering mechanism for the final seven years. During the church age, God's time clock has stopped, but the final seven years will kick in on God's time clock. The covenant with Israel starts the seven years. In the middle of the week, the Antichrist causes the sacrifice and oblation to stop. This indicates temple worship had restarted. Israel will worship under the supposed protection of the Antichrist for three and a half years, almost thinking he is the Messiah. Then he moves in, and for the abominations he will accomplish, he makes the temple and temple worship desolate until the end, until everything is fulfilled.

Daniel 9:27

And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.
