How long is the covenant that the coming prince will make with the Jews?

The coming prince will make a covenant with the Jews for seven years, described as one week. In the middle of that week—after three and a half years—he will cause sacrifice and oblation to cease, breaking the agreement.

Les teaches from Daniel 9:27 that the prince that shall come, mentioned in verse 26, shall confirm or make the covenant with many, with the Jews, for seven years—one week. At the midpoint, at the end of three and a half years, he shall cause the sacrifice and oblation to cease. For temple worship to cease, it must be going, indicating Israel will have her temple rebuilt and operating. Then the Antichrist will go into the temple in the midpoint of the Tribulation, set himself up as God, and force the Jew to worship him rather than the God of the Old Testament. This seven-year treaty is signed, and Israel gets her temple back, but the religion will not be one in which God is working; it will be much like Judaism during Christ’s earthly ministry.

Daniel 9:27

And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.
