When will God's covenant promises to Israel finally be fulfilled?
God's covenant promises to Israel will finally be fulfilled during the tribulation, the time when God deals directly with the nation of Israel. These covenants are Jew only and have nothing to do with the Gentile or the church. They come into fruition in that period of God's dealing with His covenant people.
Les explains that the tribulation is primarily God dealing with the nation of Israel. The church cannot be run into God's dealing with His covenant people, because the church is not under any of these covenants. Those covenants are Jew only and have nothing to do with the Gentile. Les teaches that they will finally come into fruition when we get into the tribulation, the time of God dealing with the nation of Israel. He cites Jeremiah 30:5, which describes a voice of trembling and fear, not peace, with men acting as if in travail and all faces turned pale. Les connects this to horrible events coming on the earth, centered again in the Middle East. He notes the potential for mass destruction from nuclear warheads among Middle Eastern nations, including Israel, Iran, Syria, and the Persians. There will be tremendous fear and suffering beyond imagination, directed primarily to the children of Israel.
For thus saith the LORD; We have heard a voice of trembling, of fear, and not of peace.
