What covenant will the Antichrist make with Israel, and for how long?

Daniel 9:27 shows the Antichrist will confirm, sign, or make a covenant with many Jews who are back in the land. This covenant is a seven-year peace treaty, described as one week, and its signing triggers the final unfulfilled seven years of Israel's prophecy.

Les explains that Daniel's prophecy covers 490 years for Israel, with 483 fulfilled at the crucifixion, leaving seven years unfulfilled. Those seven years are triggered by the signing of a peace treaty between the Antichrist and Israel. In Daniel 9:27, the Antichrist—the prince that shall come—confirms, signs, or makes a covenant with many Jews back in the land for one week, meaning seven years. Les notes that current Middle East peace efforts may produce only a makeshift agreement that will not last. He feels the Antichrist will come out of a revived Roman Empire, a federated United States of Europe, though others look to the Arab or Muslim world. Once the seven-year treaty is signed, Israel will lay down her defenses.

Daniel 9:27

And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.
