What covenant will the Antichrist make with Israel during the tribulation?

The Antichrist will confirm or make a treaty or covenant with Israel for one week—seven years. This covenant allows Israel to enjoy temple worship and apparent peace and prosperity for a short time, but the seven-year period is divided in half at the middle.

Les explains that in Daniel's prophecy the focus turns to the one week, and the Antichrist, who was picked out as the Prince that shall come, will confirm or make a treaty or covenant with Israel for one week, meaning seven years. Les teaches that Daniel, by inspiration, laid out the format that this seven-year period is divided in half: the first three and a half years, and then the last three and a half years. He notes that some describe the first half as a time of real peace and prosperity, but he warns it will be short-lived. For a little while it will seem as though the Antichrist is keeping his word, bringing peace and prosperity, and Israel will enjoy her temple worship and freedom from outside enemies.

Daniel 9:27

And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.
