Do all true cults trace their roots back to the Tower of Babel?

Yes. Any cult that is a true cult, even if it uses Scripture, can have parts of its doctrine traced right back to the Tower of Babel. Every one of them does. All world religions also have roots going back to Babel, where pagan idolatrous religion began.

Les teaches that when the early post-flood group gathered in the valley of Shinar on the Euphrates River and built the Tower of Babel, all pagan idolatrous religion began there. He explains that any cult today, if it is a true cult, even though it may use a certain amount of Scripture, can have parts of its doctrine that put its roots right back in the Tower of Babel—every one of them. All the religions of the world also have roots going back to Babel. That is what Paul meant in 2 Thessalonians when he said the mystery of iniquity was already working; it has been working ever since they scattered from Babel and has been a constant adversary of true worship of Jehovah God. Israel's nemesis was idolatry, such as Baal worship and Moloch. On this side of the cross, Paul confronted the Gentile world, with Acts 19 given as an example.
