Les Feldick Bible Study

Why does Les believe the Antichrist will be an apostate Jew?

Israel will readily accept the Antichrist, his treaty, protection, and permission for temple worship. Because the nation would not so quickly embrace a Gentile leader, the man must be Jewish—an apostate Jew. This explains why the Antichrist could secure Israel's acceptance.

Les explains that because Israel will be so quick to accept the Antichrist, his treaty, and his offers of protection, and because he will let them have temple worship, he has to feel this man will be a Jew—an apostate Jew. Otherwise, Les cannot see Israel so readily accepting all his offers. He stresses he does not say this to look down on the Jew. He also says he would like to think the false prophet will be an apostate Jew, citing that the Bible's land focus is Israel/Palestine. He then points to Moses and Daniel, Jews who rose near the top in Gentile empires, showing such prominence is possible.
