Why does Les think the western hemisphere will be knocked out of the rest of prophecy?
The western hemisphere will be knocked out because Russia, anticipating an invasion of Israel, views America as Israel’s only friend and the sole nation likely to oppose it. Russian commanders would therefore unload their missiles on North America, and the western hemisphere has nothing remaining in prophecy.
Les teaches that if Russian leaders in the northern confederation were preparing to invade Israel, they would realize only one nation on earth might oppose them: America, because America is Israel’s only friend in the world. He reasons that Russia would understand America would probably come to Israel’s defense. He also notes Time Magazine’s statement that every missile ever pointed at America is still sitting there, still pointed at the American target. Speculating, Les says that as commanders he would unload everything on North America, since it is the only possible enemy. That is what he thinks will happen: the Russians will unload everything and utterly knock the western hemisphere out of the rest of prophecy, because there is nothing for us in prophecy. After that initial attack, he thinks our military will still have enough left, including submarines with ballistic missiles, to unload on the Russian homeland and destroy it when God sends fire on the Russian homeland. He calls this speculation and common sense, not fear.
