Les Feldick Bible Study

Why does Les point to a Western Europe Parliament in connection with Daniel's prophecy?

The Western Europe Parliament is pointed to as evidence that Daniel’s ten-nation prophecy is already forming; the nations are coming together and a parliament already meets, though it lacks absolute power yet. Daniel’s ten horns represent ten nations, and from them the Antichrist will arise.

Les teaches that Daniel 7:7 describes ten horns, which he identifies as ten nations. He connects this to Revelation, where John uses the same bestial language and shows the empires ending with ten horns. Les observes that the nations of Western Europe are seemingly coming together and that a Western Europe Parliament already exists and meets, though it does not yet have absolute power. This existing organization fits the prophetic picture of a ten-nation group from which the Antichrist, the little horn of Daniel 7:8, will emerge. He also notes that while the Old Testament prophetic program runs uninterrupted from God's perspective, it was historically interrupted by the church age, which prophecy never hints at.
