What does the Holy Spirit do in the Age of Grace toward lost people?
In the Age of Grace, the Holy Spirit’s whole work toward lost people is to point them to God the Son. That is His entire ministry today: He directs lost people to the Son. During the tribulation, the false prophet will counterfeit this role by causing people to worship the Antichrist.
Les teaches from Revelation that as the Holy Spirit today in the Age of Grace points people to God the Son, this is the whole work of the Holy Spirit—to point lost people to the Son. For believers, that same Spirit teaches, encourages, reproves, and so forth, so they bring honor and glory to the Son. By contrast, during the tribulation the false prophet will cause people to worship the Antichrist and thus fulfill a counterfeit role of the Holy Spirit. Both the false prophet and the Antichrist, this unholy trinity with Satan, are under Satan’s control and power.
