When do the seven seals begin to be opened?

The seven seals begin to be opened when the Antichrist signs the seven-year treaty with Israel, which initiates Daniel's 70th week, the final seven-year Tribulation period. This signing marks the beginning of the opening of the seals, as described in the study of Revelation and Daniel.

Les explains that the seven seals are the first in a series of sevens in Revelation, followed by the seven trumpet judgments, which lead to the seven bowl judgments. He notes that the final seven years, called Daniel's 70th week, the time of wrath and vexation, or the Tribulation, begins when the Antichrist signs a seven-year treaty with Israel. That signing is the starting point for the opening of the seals. The seven years are divided into two 3.5-year periods, or 42 months each; the first half will be bad, but the last half will be far worse.
