What happened to the Jewish people after the destruction of Jerusalem in 70 A.D.?

After 70 A.D., when Titus destroyed the city and temple, the Jewish people were scattered throughout the then-known world and have continued scattering worldwide. For over 1,900 years they remained without a land, altar, or priesthood, yet maintained their identity rather than being assimilated, and later returned to their land.

Les teaches that from 70 A.D., when Titus destroyed the city and temple, the Jews were scattered throughout the then-known world and have been scattering throughout the whole world ever since. For over 1,900 years they were out of the land, without a land, without an altar, without a priesthood. Though they should have been completely obliterated or assimilated into the various nationalities, they maintained their identity. In our day they have been going back to their land, and the Hebrew language, once dead, was revived.
