What does 1 Corinthians 15 require for salvation?

According to the context, 1 Corinthians 15 requires belief that Jesus died and rose again. It is not repentance, baptism, or joining a church; Paul does not make those the requirement. Salvation rests on believing God and the Gospel, which is the power of God unto salvation, and this is the only way to be assured of glory.

Les explains that 1 Corinthians 15 gives the plan of salvation in the clearest and simplest language in the New Testament. Paul does not make repentance, baptism, or church membership the requirement. Instead, the requirement is believing—not merely believing in God, but believing God, which is being a man or woman of faith, doing what God has said and resting on it. The Gospel is the power of God unto salvation, and Paul puts it plainly: if we believe that Jesus died and rose again. Les says this is the only way to be assured of glory, whether by death and resurrection or by the rapture, regardless of whether one is Methodist, Catholic, Baptist, or whatever. He stresses it is not his idea or interpretation but what the Book says, pointing to 1 Corinthians 15:1.
