What is the gospel that saves according to 1 Corinthians 15?

The saving gospel is the message Paul received and delivered: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, was buried, and rose again the third day according to the Scriptures. Believers are saved by this gospel if they hold firmly to it and do not believe in vain.

Les teaches that 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 contains the Gospel we must believe for eternal life and entrance into God's heaven. Paul declares the Gospel he preached, which the Corinthians received, in which they stand, and by which they are saved—conditional unless they believed in vain. Paul delivered what he also received: after the ascended, glorified Lord saved him by grace on the road to Damascus, He revealed this Gospel to him in the desert—that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, was buried, and rose again the third day according to the Scriptures. Les explains this was pre-planned before creation: God would create man, man would sin and need a Savior and Redeemer. God then brought about Christ's earthly ministry, crucifixion, resurrection, and ascension, from where He revealed the Secrets or Mysteries, the core being the Gospel that Christ died for our sins.
