Why didn't Jesus worship Satan to get the kingdoms?
Jesus refused because He knew the kingdoms would one day be His anyway. Satan’s temptation failed to trick Him, since worshiping Satan was unnecessary for obtaining what He would one day receive. He did not have to fall down and worship Satan to get them.
Les explains that the kingdoms were Satan’s dominion at that time, but he couldn’t trick Jesus. Jesus knew that one day He would have them anyway, so He didn’t have to fall down and worship Satan to get them. Later, Revelation 5 shows Christ as the Lamb coming before the Ancient of Days, taking the mortgage from God the Father, and paying it off. He alone is worthy because of His death, burial, and resurrection. He will pay off Satan’s mortgage, and the redeemed will reign on the earth.
