When will the Antichrist appear in relation to European turmoil and ten-nation unity?
The Antichrist will appear when the ten nations of the revived Roman Empire seemingly have their act together, yet great turmoil in Europe makes the time ripe for a strong man. Three smaller nations lose identity, absorbed by the other seven, and from the remaining seven the Antichrist emerges.
Les explains that the European Community already has its own currency, the ECU, and that the whole constitution of Western Europe is ready to be implemented, though they are not pushing it yet because they are not quite ready. He says this is strictly projection and cannot be proven, but when the ten nations seemingly feel like they have their act together, there will be so much turmoil in Europe that it will make the time ripe for the appearance of a strong man, the Antichrist. Les connects this to the little horn coming out of the ten nations that make the revived Roman Empire, the ten toes of Nebuchadnezzar's vision. Three of the smaller nations will lose their identity and be gobbled up by the other seven, and out of the remaining seven will come this man Antichrist. Les also notes that these two great prophetic books work hand in glove, pointing back to Revelation chapter 13.
