What is the ten-nation European community in prophecy according to Les?
The ten-nation European community is identified as the revived Roman Empire, also called the United States of Europe. In prophecy it forms the first part of the beast, an end-time empire from which a human leader, the antichrist, arises as the other aspect of the beast.
Les explains the ten-nation European community as the revival of the ancient Roman Empire, what he calls the United States of Europe, and the first part of the beast in the end-time picture. From this revived Roman Empire comes a leader, a man, the antichrist, who is the other aspect of the beast, so the terms are used almost synonymously. Les also ties this to a broader conspiracy in which America is being bled dry, with industry leaving and oil coming from foreign suppliers, all to enhance this revival. In verse 4, the whole world worships the dragon, or Satan, who gave power to the beast, both to the man antichrist and to the empire over which he rules.
