What happens to the earth when Christ returns?
When Christ returns, His kingdom is ushered in on a glorious earth where the curse has been lifted. This brings tremendous production and a population explosion. The thousand-year reign is limited in time, yet the same kingdom economy continues into eternity, and though interrupted again, it returns for eternity.
Les teaches that the thousand-year reign of Christ is limited in time, but the same kingdom economy goes right on into all eternity. The kingdom shall never be destroyed; it will be interrupted again, but it will come right back on the scene for eternity. At Christ's return, this kingdom is ushered in on a glorious earth wherein the curse has been lifted, with tremendous production and a tremendous population explosion. Les also explains that our eternal abode is not an ethereal cloud with invisible harps, but a place of intense activity where we will be busy and active, glorious beyond comprehension, with something better than fishing, hunting, or pro football.
