Why is the revived Roman Empire weak and inferior?

The revived Roman Empire is weak and inferior because it is an enlarged democracy. Democracies lack real strength; when people dislike the government, they take to the streets and demonstrate, and the government falls. Having no real strength, this ten-nation Western European system is therefore inferior.

Les explains that the revived Roman Empire corresponds to the same geographical and political area of Western Europe, now called the European Community. It began with ten nations, fluctuates, and will end up with ten nations—the ten toes. As Western Europe today is an enlarged democracy, democracies are weak: if people do not like the government, they fill the streets and demonstrate, and down it goes. It has no real strength, and consequently it is inferior.
