What does the false prophet cause the world to do?
The false prophet causes the earth and its inhabitants to worship the first beast, the Antichrist. Under the cloak of religion and Satan's inspiration, he uses great wonders and miracles to deceive humanity, drawing the mass of people to worship the political world leader, the Antichrist.
Les explains that the false prophet is the religious leader of the tribulation period, the counterfeit of the Holy Spirit within a counterfeit trinity. Satan counterfeits God the Father, the Antichrist counterfeits God the Son, and the false prophet counterfeits the Holy Spirit. Just as the genuine Holy Spirit draws people to God the Son, this counterfeit causes people to worship the Antichrist, the counterfeit Son. He exercises all the power of the first beast before him, working hand in glove with the Antichrist. He does great wonders, even making fire come down from heaven in the sight of men, and deceives those who dwell on the earth by means of those miracles.
