Les Feldick Bible Study

Why does Les teach as much prophecy as he does?

Prophecy is taught extensively because Paul considered it important for new believers freshly out of paganism; if it mattered then, it matters even more now as the hour approaches. Scripture also shows a restraining power ensures the Antichrist is revealed only in God's appointed time, not ahead of it.

Les explains that his reason for teaching prophecy is that if Paul thought prophecy was important in his day to those new believers fresh out of paganism, then it is even more important for us to teach it and know it as we approach the hour. In the next verse, he notes that someone withholdeth or restraineth, like a dam in the river, so that the Antichrist might be revealed in his time—not ahead of time. There is a restraining power on the earth tonight making sure the man Antichrist does not come on the scene until it is God's time.
