Who took the scroll from God's right hand in Revelation 5?

The Lamb, identified as the Lion of the tribe of Judah, Jesus Christ, came and took the scroll out of the right hand of the One sitting upon the throne. Verse 7 describes this action, showing the Lamb receiving the scroll from the throne's occupant.

Les explains that in verse 7 the Lamb—the Lion of the tribe of Judah, Jesus the Christ—came and took the scroll out of the right hand of Him who sat upon the throne. Les then anticipates the question of why this matters, asking where the idea comes from that this is a mortgage and why something must be paid off. He traces it back to Genesis, where Adam was given dominion over creation under God, but when Adam sinned he lost that dominion, and Satan picked it up.

Revelation 5:7

And he came and took the book out of the right hand of him that sat upon the throne.
