What did God do to Israel after rejecting them in 2 Kings 17?

After rejecting Israel, God removed them out of His sight, afflicted them, and delivered them into the hand of spoilers. He cast them out of His sight until Israel was carried away captive to the Assyrians, leaving only the tribe of Judah in the land.

Les teaches that in 2 Kings 17 the Lord was very angry with Israel and removed them out of His sight, so none was left but Judah. The Lord rejected all the seed of Israel, afflicted them, and delivered them into the hand of spoilers until He had cast them out of His sight. Because Israel walked in the sins of Jeroboam and did not depart from them, the Lord finally removed Israel out of His sight, and Israel was carried away to the Assyrians.

2 Kings 17:20

And the LORD rejected all the seed of Israel, and afflicted them, and delivered them into the hand of spoilers, until he had cast them out of his sight.
