Where is the land of Israel located today?
The land of Israel today is located strictly between the Jordan River and the Mediterranean Sea, from a little south of Jerusalem up to Lebanon's southern border. God deeded a much larger territory—from the wilderness to the Euphrates—but Israel never occupied all of it, and even David and Solomon only ventured slightly beyond Galilee and the Jordan.
Les explains that even today, with all the Middle East in a constant uproar, the land of Israel is strictly between the Jordan River and the Mediterranean, from a little bit south of Jerusalem up until the southern border of Lebanon. He notes that God deeded a far larger area to Abraham and later to Joshua—from the wilderness and Lebanon to the great river Euphrates—but Israel never occupied all of it. Even under David and Solomon, they only ventured a little beyond Galilee and a little beyond the Jordan River.
