Is the God who made America the same God who gave the Old Testament law?
Yes. The God who made America what she is is the same God who laid down the Old Testament requirements in Deuteronomy. People, economies, and societies change, but God never changes. He hates the same things today that He hated in Israel's history.
Les teaches that even though people say we live in different times than Bible times, God does not change. Economies and society may change, but He remains the same. He hates today the same things He hated in Israel's history. Les says the American people need to be made aware that the God who made the nation what she is is the same God who laid down these requirements in Deuteronomy. Our outlooks may change, but God has not changed. He then moves to Deuteronomy 20, where God explained to the Jews how to operate in warfare, including verse 17, something beyond ordinary warfare of occupation.
