By what age does Satan have a person completely wrapped in his web according to Les?
By the age of accountability—described as eight, nine, or ten—Satan has a person completely wrapped in his web. This parallels the spider immobilizing the locust. Every person is born spiritually dead, and as they pass through innocent years, Satan progressively wraps his web until they are helpless.
Les explains that every person born into the human race is dead spiritually. As we move up through the little innocent years, Satan begins to wrap his web. By the time we reach the age of accountability—eight, nine, ten, whatever you want to call it—he has us completely wrapped in his web, just as the spider wrapped the locust. The locust was immobilized and helpless, unable to get out on its own. Les uses this illustration to show the condition of a person under Satan’s web until the web is cut away.
