What protects Les from satanic attack?
The prayers of the saints are the only thing protecting from satanic attack. Because the adversary opposes every work that pleases the Lord, believers must constantly pray for one another, and that intercession shields the ministry from the enemy's opposition.
Les teaches that the more a believer tries to please the Lord, the more Satan attacks. He says he lives in constant fear of satanic attack because their teaching is penetrating places Satan does not want it to go. The only thing protecting him, he says, is the prayers of the saints. He is thrilled when people write that they pray for him and Iris two or three times a day, and he insists believers must constantly pray for one another because they face an adversary who dislikes everything they do. He has seen Satan attack influential people in the ministry, and though God has protected them so far, he attributes that protection to prayers, just as Paul faced the devil's opposition whenever he attempted something glorious for God.
