Through whom did God create all things?
Scripture teaches that God created all things through His Son, Jesus Christ. While Genesis 1:1 simply says God, the rest of Scripture attributes creation to God the Son, by whom God made the worlds. This same Son is the visible manifestation of the invisible God, and through Him the triune God both speaks and creates.
Les explains that Hebrews 1 presents the triune, eternal, sovereign God who spoke in times past through the prophets but in these last days has spoken through His Son. This same pattern applies to creation: Genesis 1:1 says "God," yet the rest of Scripture attributes creation to God the Son, Jesus Christ. Hebrews 1:2 says God appointed His Son heir of all things and made the worlds by Him. Colossians likewise calls Jesus the Christ the visible manifestation of the invisible God.
