How did God create the universe?
By faith, believers understand that the universe was framed by the Word of God. He spoke, and it came into being. The visible, tangible creation was not made from things that appear; everything now seen and handled came out of nothing.
Les explains, using verse 3, that through faith—by simply taking God at His Word—believers understand that the worlds, the universe, were framed by the Word of God. He spoke it, and it all came into being. Les says the unbeliever cannot comprehend this, but believers can. He also notes that if astronomers are right that everything is still being created and moving farther out, he can believe that, because God is infinite and there is no outer shell on God's creation. Therefore, the things seen and tangible were not made out of things that appear; everything created came out of nothing.
