Will there be genuine peace in the Middle East before Christ returns?
No. Genuine peace in the Middle East will not come before Christ returns. There may be a pseudo-peace or makeshift arrangement, but Israel will not fully possess the land promised to Abraham—from northern Lebanon to the Euphrates and the river of Egypt—until the Millennial Kingdom.
Les explains that as you watch the Middle East, with pressure for Israel to come to a so-called peace conference, there can be no peace in the Middle East until Christ returns. There may be a pseudo-peace or a makeshift of some kind, but there will not be genuine peace. Israel will not enjoy the full land deeded to Abraham until the Millennial Kingdom, when Christ returns and Israel finally gets all the land promised—from northern Lebanon, out to the Euphrates River, and down to the river of Egypt. Until then, Israel will not get it all now and may be lucky to hold everything west of the Jordan River in the foreseeable future. God never goes back on His Word; this is part of the Abrahamic covenant.
