Who will bring a semblance of peace to the Middle East and what is the world waiting for?
The man of sin, identified as the Antichrist, will make his appearance and finally bring a semblance of peace to the Middle East. That is what the world is waiting for—peace in the Middle East—while overlooking the admonition that redemption is near.
Les explains that the world is rushing toward the scenario in which the Antichrist, the man of sin, will appear. Israel is being pushed tighter by the Arab world, but God will act in His own time, not according to the Arab world's timetable. The man of sin will finally bring a semblance of peace to the Middle East, and that is what everybody is waiting for. While they wait for Middle East peace, they forget the admonitions that when these things come to pass, believers should lift up their eyes because redemption is coming near. Les also points to exploding technology, global politics, global economics, and religions coming under one headship as signs the time is short.
