What can Satan do with the things of this world that do nothing but destroy us?
Satan can glamorize the things of this world, making them look desirable and as though a person is not really living without them. Though these things only tear people down, he presents them as something to be desired, continuing the lie that began in the garden.
Les teaches that Satan takes the things of this world that do nothing but destroy us and makes them look appealing. He glamorizes them, making it seem as though if you are not doing that, you are not living. But those things only tear people down. This is all part of the lie, and it began back in the garden. In verse 6, the woman saw the tree was good for food, pleasant to the eye, and desired to make one wise—to be like God—and she took and ate, then gave to her husband with her.
