What did Satan not know about the future of the kingdoms?
Satan did not know that a day was coming when all the kingdoms of the world would become Christ's. He would be King of kings and Lord of lords, and He would obtain them not by kowtowing to Satan but by defeating him.
Les explains that Satan, as the god of this world, had the kingdoms to give and offered them to Jesus if He would worship him. But Satan did not know that a day was coming—and is still coming, getting close—when all the kingdoms of the world would be Christ's. He will be King of kings and Lord of lords, and He will not get them by kowtowing to Satan but by defeating him. Les notes this proves Satan is the god of this world, under God.
