What does 'the Kingdom' mean when the Bible speaks of it?

When Scripture speaks of "the Kingdom," it refers to the final thousand-year reign of Christ on the earth. It is the only valid Kingdom in Scripture, distinct from Gentile kingdoms like Babylon. In it Christ is King of kings and Lord of lords. The thousand years introduce the eternal state.

Les explains that when the Bible speaks of "the Kingdom," it means this final thousand-year reign of Christ, this Kingdom on the earth. He notes that it is "the Kingdom is the Kingdom is the Kingdom" because it is the only valid Kingdom in Scripture, while a Gentile kingdom, or the kingdom of Babylon, is different. During this earthly Kingdom, Christ will finally be King of kings and Lord of lords. Les also points out that this is not the end, because the thousand years is just an introduction to the eternal state. This comes into focus as we look at the Scriptural teaching concerning this earthly Kingdom.
