What happens to the iron, clay, brass, silver, and gold when Christ comes?

At Christ's Second Coming, the iron, clay, brass, silver, and gold are broken to pieces together and become like chaff from the summer threshing floor. The wind carries them away until no place is found for them; the entire world system is totally annihilated, while the stone becomes a kingdom filling the whole earth.

Les explains that the previous empires contributed banking and interest, Greek culture, and the Roman system of law, and all of this is incorporated into this final empire. But when Christ comes, the iron, clay, brass, silver, and gold are shattered together, become like chaff on a summer threshing floor, and are totally annihilated. The wind carries them away so that no place is found for them. The stone—Christ at His Second Coming—smites the image, destroys the world system, and becomes a great mountain, a kingdom that fills the whole earth.

Daniel 2:35

Then was the iron, the clay, the brass, the silver, and the gold, broken to pieces together, and became like the chaff of the summer threshingfloors; and the wind carried them away, that no place was found for them: and the stone that smote the image became a great mountain, and filled the whole earth.
