What is all this grace building toward?

Les explains that Ephesians 1:8 continues the thought of verse 7, where “wherein” points back to the grace just mentioned. Paul uses grace constantly because this is the age of grace, while the rest of Scripture hardly uses the term. God’s unmerited favor has been poured out on the whole human race, and it is building and building until we move closer to the end of the time God allotted to planet earth. When asked about the abundant life, Les says it cannot really be put into words; it is the complete package of God’s grace that gives assurance of salvation and eternity in God’s presence.
