Is there any place for works in grace?

No. Grace and works are opposites; there is no place for works in grace. Justification is freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, by faith in His blood. The cross makes the difference, not human works.

Les explains that merely believing Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the Living God, is foundational but not enough to save anyone in this age of grace. One must also know that Christ went to the cruel cross and shed His blood. Romans 3:23 says all have sinned and come short of God's glory, but verse 24 says believers are justified freely by His grace through the redemption in Christ Jesus. Les emphasizes there are no works in grace, because grace is the total opposite of works.
