How many eggs does a female have and how many sperm does a male have?
The female of any species possesses thousands upon thousands of eggs, or ovum. The male possesses billions upon billions of microscopic sperm, which require a microscope to be seen. These vast numbers illustrate the scale of potential life within God's sovereign design.
Les explains that in the life of a woman or female of any species, there are thousands upon thousands of ovum, eggs. In the male of the species, there are billions upon billions of sperm, microscopic and visible only under a microscope. He notes that God in His omniscience has put together every human being ever born according to His will, and has put together every sperm and every egg that has ever been fertilized. This mind-boggling illustration of God's sovereignty is compared to the billions upon billions of stars and galaxies in the universe.
