Does God choose which sperm fertilizes the egg?

Les teaches that it takes one sperm and one ova to make a child. He reports the view that the sovereign God supernaturally predetermines which sperm fertilizes which ova. For the unbeliever, however, he cautions not to worry about whether one is chosen; believe the gospel, and God will move in grace, showing these truths little by little.
