Les Feldick Bible Study

What happens when a believer is discipled and reflects Christ's righteousness to the world?

A discipled believer who reflects Christ's righteousness among an ungodly world will have an impact on lost people. They will ask what they must do to have what the believer has, opening an opportunity to point them to faith in Christ's death and resurrection for salvation.

Les explains that Paul did not write to the unsaved world, though he had a heart for them, because you do not win the lost by screaming at them and preaching at them. Instead, you win the lost by discipling the believer. When the believer is discipled and goes out among an ungodly world reflecting the righteousness of Christ, he will have an impact on lost people. They will ask what they must do to have what you've got, and that is your opportunity. Then the message is: believe that Christ died for you, believe with all your heart that He rose from the dead, and you will be saved; the Bible promises it. Les also clarifies that "only believe" does not mean superficial mental assent; it means honestly believing with all your being, especially that Christ died for you and rose to give you resurrection power. That is faith, and by it alone we enter the relationship Paul expounds.
