What happens when someone becomes a believer?
Upon becoming a believer, a person experiences the baptism of the Spirit and is placed in union with Christ, the Head in Heaven. The believer then serves as an ambassador on earth until the day they will be with Him and complete all that.
Les explains that when a person becomes a believer, they experience the baptism of the Spirit. This places them in union with Christ, even though the Head is in Heaven, and they are left as ambassadors here on the earth until one day they will all be with Him and complete all that. Les contrasts this with the alternative: rejecting it and one day being placed into the Lake of Fire for the lost, referencing Matthew 3:12. He also points out that at the baptism of Jesus, all three members of the Trinity are present: the Spirit of God descending like a dove and a voice from heaven saying, "This is My Beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased."
