Where does Satan work in a believer's life?
Satan works in a believer’s life through the old Adamic nature, which serves as his playground. He seeks to prompt that old nature to control and exercise its desires, opposing the new nature. Yet the Spirit indwelling the believer is greater than Satan’s powers.
Les explains that while people often say, “Well, the devil made me do it,” that is not very often the case; it is old Adam who makes us do it. But Satan is not left out of the picture entirely. Les asks where Satan works and answers: through that old nature. That is his playground, where he loves to fulfill his desire by getting our old Adamic nature to control and exercise the desires of the old nature. Believers have the comfort that He who is within you is greater than the powers of Satan.
