What standard will we be judged by—our denomination or the Word of God?
The standard is the Word of God, not denominational criteria. Whatever you hear, from any denomination or place, must be searched and lined up with Scripture, because that is how we will be judged—by what the Word really says, not by denominational requirements.
Les explains that people should not simply go by what he says, but should line it up with the book. He warns that there is much false teaching today that is not according to the Word of God. He tells people that whatever they hear, whether from his denomination or another or Timbuktu, they should search the Scriptures and line things up with the Word of God, because that is how we are going to be judged. The standard is not some denominational criteria, but what the Word really says. He also cautions about the opposite: be careful about what the Word does not say, because many people have ideas that the Word says something when it does not and is not in it.
