Les Feldick Bible Study

Will God judge us according to our denomination or according to the Bible?

God will not judge according to denomination; He will judge according to the Book, the Bible. Denominational background will not be the standard. Believers are held accountable for the new revelations given through Paul and for what Scripture says, not what any teacher says.

Les explains with an illustration of two wills in a strong box: when a newer will is present, the latest one is declared valid. He applies this to Scripture, saying Paul came with new revelations that had never been revealed before, and that is what we are held accountable for. Les notes that denominations can be stringent and want their people to get only what they teach, which is fine if it lines up with the Book. But when you stand before the Lord, He will not commend loyalty to a denomination or even look at our denominational background. We will be judged according to the Book, not according to what Les says, but according to the Book. He urges people to ask what this Book says, not what he says. This connects to the righteousness of God—God can never do anything amiss; whatever He does is absolutely fair, just, and right.
