Les Feldick Bible Study

What is the positional standing of a new believer in Christ?

A new believer is positionally placed by God the Father right up there with God the Son in a place of full responsibility. Though they begin as babes feeding on the milk of the Word, they are children of God, heirs of God, and joint heirs with Christ.

Les explains that when a child of God is saved, God the Father says He has been waiting for that day, much like a father in the Middle East waiting for his son to join the family jewelry business. The believer is placed right up there in a place of full responsibility. Les notes that although believers begin as babes feeding on the milk of the Word, positionally they are right up there with God the Son. The Spirit bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God; if children, then heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ. What is His is ours, and what is ours should be His, and if we suffer with Him, we may also be glorified with Him.
