What did God see and do for us in the invisible realm regarding Christ's death and resurrection?
In the invisible realm, God saw every one of us there in the tomb with Christ. He also resurrected every one of us to a new life, identifying us with Christ's death and resurrection. This work occurs in the soul and spirit, where human hands cannot reach.
Les teaches that in the area of the invisible, God saw every one of us there in the tomb with Christ, and in that same invisible realm He has resurrected every one of us to a new life. Les uses the illustration of a morgue autopsy: you cannot see a person's soul or spirit, yet they are real. God works in the invisible area of our soul and spirit, which human hands cannot touch. Baptizing the body many times cannot change the soul or spirit, because the body is only an outer tabernacle. Les connects this to Romans 6: if we are dead with Christ, crucified and buried with Him, we believe we shall also live with Him by resurrection power. We have been raised in resurrection power as a new person, a whole new being, placed into Christ. He also points to I Corinthians 12 as foundational and simplistic, not requiring a seminary degree.
Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
