Why did God remove the reproductive part from Adam?

God removed that reproductive part from Adam to form the woman from it, establishing man and woman. Because reproduction is the heart of creation, this act provided Adam a complement—a helpmeet—making him complete. Adam was not complete until God brought him that helpmeet.

Les explains that the whole reproductive process of the human race, and of all God’s creation, is based on reproductive organs; reproduction is the very heart of creation. So God removes that part from Adam and surrounds it with the body of the woman, and now there is man and woman. She is still merely called the woman, not Eve. God brings this new creature to Adam as his helpmeet, a word meaning complement—that which makes complete. Adam was not complete until God brought him that helpmeet. The New Testament uses the same word of Christ and the Church, the Church being the complement and completion of Christ, correlating Adam and Eve with husband and wife, as in Ephesians. Adam then says she is bone of his bones and flesh of his flesh, and she shall be called woman.

Genesis 2:23

And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.
