What did God do after Israel rejected the Old Testament plan?
After Israel rejected the Old Testament plan in unbelief, God opened the windows of heaven’s grace through the apostle Paul. He revealed to Paul the secrets that had been kept in His mind throughout the Old Testament economy. This marked the last word revealed, establishing the present time of grace.
Les explains that Israel was supposed to be the light of the Gentiles and the vehicle through whom God would work, but they dropped the ball and rejected it in unbelief. Then God opened up the windows of heaven of grace through the apostle Paul, revealing to him the secrets that had been kept in the mind of God all the way up through the Old Testament economy. This came afterward, after the period of Law which ran from 1500 B.C. until Paul comes along in about 37 or 38 A.D. Now grace has been revealed, and these things are clearly put in place, with verse 23 being the last word revealed.
