Are the mind, will, and emotion visible or invisible entities?
The mind, will, and emotion are invisible entities. The soul, made up of these three, is described as invisible, distinct from the physical body. The mind cannot be dissected or placed on a table for examination, the will is a real but unseen entity, and emotion likewise belongs to this invisible realm.
Les teaches that Genesis 1:26 presents man as created in God's image, not primarily in physical appearance or body, but in the area of the soul and spirit, which are invisible. Hebrews 4:12 shows the word of God is alive and powerful, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit. Within man's soul, Les describes a trinity of sorts: mind, will, and emotion, calling this the soul and identifying it as definitely invisible. These three are definite entities. The mind is real, yet invisible: the brain can be dissected, brain cells can be put under a microscope, and surgeons can examine the brain, but the mind itself cannot be placed on a table and examined. The will is also a definite entity, or a person would not come by exercise of the will. Emotion belongs to this same invisible makeup.
